Days Away!
D.C. Carnival 2008 is Away!
Congratulations goes out to
our own Lester Smith for bringing
home to our village the
2nd Place
prize in the King of the Band
competition
held on Sunday
evening at the 15th Annual
Dimanche Gras show at the
Crossroads Nightclub.

His presentation depicted
"PRINCE TAHARKA the first, of
the ancient african empire. He
was accompanied by this two
warrior princess guards (Katrina
Brown and Petra Duncan) in full
regalia complete with spears and
shields during the competition.

PRINCE TAHARKA the first, did a
excellent job of dancing his
costume to the delight of both the
judges and the crowd in
attendance.

Congratulations PRINCE
TAHARKA the first  from all your
subjects in De Island
Masqueraders Carnival Troupe.
